Summer Camps Galway City
GALWAY'S NO.1 WATERSPORTS SUMMER CAMP SINCE 1995!
All camp bookings are done online. If you wish to be placed on a waiting list please contact us with your preferred week for the camps and leave a contact number for us to get back to you if a spot becomes available.
This is Galway's biggest and best watersports camp and arguably one of the best experiences kids have during the summer months. This camp is suitable for kids aged between 8-14.
Almost all of our instructors, as well as some of the biggest names in Irish windsurfing started out by attending summer camps at Rusheen Bay. At this stage, RBW is part of growing up in Galway.
We're proud of the legacy of our summer camps and we're proud of how they've grown over almost 25 years. We now offer more activities than ever with fantastic instructors in each activity, all in a fun and jam packed schedule!
Weekend Camps may also available given enough demand. We usually post them to book online for July & August.
Summer camp ACTIVITIES
Our camps are packed with activities and games:

Stand Up Paddleboarding

...loads more!
SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM
Summer Camps
Each day is split between two activities with a break for some lunch in between.
That means we have 10 activity sessions per week. Some of the more popular activities like windsurfing and kayaking can take up 4 or 5 sessions per week.
SUMMER CAMP TIMES & DATES
We run 2 camps per week, all summer, starting every Monday and running until Friday for the multisports camps. The morning camp is from 9:30am-1pm and the afternoon camp is from 1:30pm-5pm.
Camps start on June 5th and run until August 25th.
SUMMER CAMP BOOKINGS
To book a camp, go to our booking page and follow the instructions there. If you're having problems booking, get in touch and we'll help you.
It's €195 per Summer camp.
Cake Day
We run a cake day every Friday on the camps. Kids bring in cake and it is shared between everyone. If your child has any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances please bring in your own cake that is suitable for your child.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE CAMP
We have all the equipment you need - wetsuits, boots, lifejackets and helmets. Of course, if you have your own wetsuit, you're welcome to use it instead!
All you need to bring is a towel, a snack for the break and some warm clothes for after.
Sun cream is really important too, even if it's not a sunny day!
SUMMER CAMP IMPORTANT INFO
We have lower limit of 8 years of age for our camps.
Make sure to inform us of any health conditions such as asthma, allergies or epilepsy.
Make sure whoever you're booking for can swim. Everyone is 100% safe at all times but it's important that everyone is comfortable being out of their depth in water.
Show up about 15 minutes before camp starts. That's plenty of time to get everyone ready and on the water.
Also important: Our activities are pretty weather dependent. That means that wind, tide and other weather factors can dictate what activities take place on a particular day. We do the best we can to stick to the schedule but we're concerned with safety more than anything else.
Bullying Policy: We have a zero tolerance bullying policy on all of our camps. If there are complaints of a child bullying others on a camp that child will be removed from the camp and no refund will be given.
Special Needs: Unfortunately due to instructor ratios we cannot accommodate children with special needs on the Summer Camps.
